A handwoven Zemmour kilim from Morocco's Middle Atlas, set on a deep aubergine wool ground and structured by horizontal panels of densely brocaded geometry — diamonds, X-figures, chevrons, and stepped lozenges in ivory, emerald, indigo, and rose — alternating with plain flatwoven stripes. The piece is framed on all four sides by a continuous ivory border worked in fine cross and lozenge motifs, giving the composition the discipline of a bordered carpet rather than an open kilim. Tightly flatwoven, lightweight, and reversible, with a hand-tied dark fringe at the foot.
