Evergreen 2x8 — Forest Green Cement Tile

A deep, true forest green with none of the yellow drift that would pull it toward olive. Cast in cement, it loses the glossy shine of glazed zellige and settles into something flatter and denser — the color of cypress hedges clipped tight against a whitewashed wall. Evergreen sits opposite Pine in our green family: more saturated, more confident, and considerably less muted. Each tile is hand-pressed from pigmented cement by artisans in Fez, following a hydraulic process that has shaped North African floors for well over a century — the pigment set not by fire, but by time and pressure.

Sold as individual tiles, the 2x8 format lends itself to running bond, herringbone, or basketweave — geometries that let the tile's quiet texture do the talking. Nine tiles make up one square foot. It brings depth to an entry floor or powder room without going dark, and pairs beautifully with brass, black iron, and warm white walls.

Cement tile carries the fingerprints of its making — soft variation in tone and a slightly porous, hand-finished surface that no machine could replicate. We recommend sealing every tile before installation and again after grouting — a small ritual that protects the pigment for decades to come. For larger runs, order ten percent beyond your total square footage to allow for cuts and pattern matching.
