An eight-pointed star radiating in turquoise, red, black, and green — the geometry of the Alhambra itself, carved into stone and painted onto tile for centuries across Andalusia and Fez alike. This is the star pattern in its most classical form: a single medallion complete on one tile, dense with color, unmistakably historical the moment it's laid. Each tile is hand-pressed from pigmented cement by artisans in Fez, following a hydraulic process that has shaped North African floors for well over a century — the pigment set not by fire, but by time and pressure.

Sold by the square foot, with each 8" x 8" tile covering just under half a square foot — about two and a quarter tiles per square foot of coverage. The quantity you select at checkout is square footage, and we'll round the tile count up so your installer never comes up short. This is a floor for a room that wants to make a real statement: entries, courtyards, and formal powder rooms where the pattern should feel like an heirloom.

Cement tile carries the fingerprints of its making — soft variation in tone and a slightly porous, hand-finished surface that no machine could replicate. We recommend sealing every tile before installation and again after grouting — a small ritual that protects the pigment for decades to come. For larger runs, order ten percent beyond your total square footage to allow for cuts and pattern matching.
