Noir is a true black, not the near-black shadow of Teal or Evergreen, and it's always been the choice for anyone wanting drama and contrast, whether as a full field or set against a lighter neutral in pattern work. Up close, the surface catches light unevenly, shifting from a heavier, more textured glaze in places to a smoother, glassier black elsewhere — a natural variation that gives Noir real dimension rather than a flat, matte block of color.

Mounted on mesh sheets for a straightforward, clean installation, Noir 2×2 reads as a cleaner, more architectural grid than the 1×1 — suited to kitchen backsplashes, powder rooms, hammam-style showers, and fireplace surrounds where the wall itself should hold presence.
