Moroccan Wrought Iron Sconce
Size: 10"W x 16"H x 5"D
SKU#: WL342
A two-part iron fixture built from a round mounting disc at the top and a long triangular pierced shade suspended below it, joined where the disc's lower edge is scalloped to meet the shade's point. The shade itself carries a dense floral rosette pattern with small diamond accents, tapering to a single decorative ball drop at the bottom. The construction reads more architectural than the single-piece cones elsewhere in the line, closer to a bracket lantern than a flush panel. The metal carries a warm, dark bronze patina.
The round disc sits flush against the wall and anchors the piece, while the long pierced shade does the work of throwing light and pattern downward, so the fixture reads as one continuous drop rather than a simple cone. At sixteen inches tall, it has enough length to make a real statement over a console table, beside a doorway, or in a stairwell where the eye travels vertically.
Each piece is cut, pierced, and shaped by hand by metalworkers in Morocco, drawing on the same techniques that have produced lanterns and architectural ironwork there for generations. Small variations in the cut work and finish are inherent to the process.
