A compact half cylinder of hand cut iron, densely pierced with a repeating lattice of small rosettes and diamonds that covers nearly the entire surface. The cut work is finer and more allover than the larger sconces in the line, giving it an almost woven, openwork quality. A plain band finishes the top edge, and the metal carries a dark rust-brown patina that pools deeper in the recesses.

The density of the piercing is what sets this one apart once it's lit. With so many small openings, the light breaks into a fine, scattered pattern rather than a few bold shapes, throwing a dappled texture across the surrounding wall. Its small footprint makes it useful where a full-size sconce would overwhelm: a narrow hallway, a stairwell landing, a powder room, or in a run of several along a corridor.

Each piece is cut, pierced, and shaped by hand by metalworkers in Morocco, drawing on the same techniques that have produced lanterns and architectural ironwork there for generations. Small variations in the cut work and finish are inherent to the process.
