A full cylinder of hand cut iron, straight-sided with a slight outward flare toward the base, pierced in a tight crosshatch lattice that covers the entire surface in a repeating diamond grid. The top and bottom edges are cut into small jagged points rather than left plain, framing the lattice on both ends. The metal carries a dark, matte black patina.

The crosshatch grid is the most consistently geometric pattern in the line, with no rosettes or florals breaking up the repeat, so the light it throws reads as an even field of small diamonds rather than a focal medallion. That regularity makes it a strong choice for pieces meant to be hung in a series, since the pattern lines up cleanly from one sconce to the next along a wall.

Each piece is cut, pierced, and shaped by hand by metalworkers in Morocco, drawing on the same techniques that have produced lanterns and architectural ironwork there for generations. Small variations in the cut work and finish are inherent to the process.
