A richly colored double-gourd lidded urn, hand-thrown and hand-painted in the Fassi style of Fez. This is the most polychrome piece of the group — cobalt blue, golden yellow, sage green, oxblood red, and ivory all worked together over a creamy glaze, with the gentle crazing and warm patina of something made the traditional way.

The lower bulb is covered in pointed ogival panels, each one framing florals, leaf forms, and scrolling vines in that full color range. The waist is belted with a wide collar of hand-worked brass and silvered metal — draped swags, beaded wire, and embossed lozenges — with a scalloped apron dropping over the shoulder. A domed lid carries the painted work up to a metal-capped finial.

The mix of colors makes this one feel warmer and more festive than the blue-and-white pieces, while the metalwork keeps it grounded and substantial. A natural statement piece for an entry console, mantel, sideboard, or shelf, and right at home in traditional, Moorish, bohemian, and Mediterranean rooms.
