A Moroccan double-gourd lidded urn in the Fassi ceramic tradition of Fez, hand-thrown and finished in the classic blue/white palette — deep cobalt hand-painted over an ivory glaze ground, with the soft and warm patina that mark a piece made in the old manner.

The painted decoration is organized into scalloped cartouches, each medallion framing its own motif — radiating star-and-trellis fields, floral rosettes, and fine cross-hatched grounds — repeated across both bulbs of the double-gourd silhouette. The neck and shoulder are wrapped in an elaborate collar of hand-worked brass: a wide filigreed band of beaded wire, applied florettes, and embossed lozenge bosses that belts the waist and crowns the lower bulb. The domed lid carries the painted cobalt work up to a hand-formed finial capped in metal.

A sculptural statement vessel with the distinctive double-gourd silhouette historically associated with ceremonial storage and apothecary tradition.
