A tall green-glazed lidded urn in the Fassi tradition of Fez, hand-thrown in a baluster shape and finished in a rich, mottled emerald glaze rather than painted pattern. The color shifts from deep green to softer sage where the glaze pools and thins, with the subtle throwing lines and gentle crazing that come from being made the traditional way.

The metalwork plays warm against the cool green: hand-worked brass, copper, and silvered metal band the piece at the shoulder, neck, and foot, worked with draped swags, beaded wire, and embossed leaf and teardrop shapes, with a scalloped apron dropping over the shoulder. A domed lid finishes it with a metal-capped finial. The copper tones in particular catch nicely against the emerald.

The solid green is bolder than the neutral cream pieces but still reads as calm and organic — a piece with real color that isn't busy. Works well in traditional, Moorish, bohemian, and Mediterranean rooms, and brings a welcome shot of green to a modern space too.
