A large open planter in the Moroccan ceramic tradition, hand-thrown in a wide, low-bellied form and finished in a warm cream glaze. The heavy crazing across the body is one of its best features — a fine network of lines that catches the light and gives the glaze real depth and age. Speckling, throwing lines, and the uneven tone of a hand-fired piece complete the picture.

A band of hand-worked brass and copper wraps the shoulder, this one detailed with repeating leaf spray motifs — simpler and more botanical than the palmette pieces — between beaded wire borders and a scalloped lower edge. A thin copper strip rings the foot.

Generous enough for a large indoor plant or a floor arrangement of dried branches, and grounded enough to work as a standalone floor object. Suits a living room corner, entryway, covered patio, or courtyard, and fits naturally in traditional, Moorish, rustic, bohemian, and Mediterranean settings.
