Mansour (Rust Multi) Cement Tile
A blush ground sets the stage for a sunburst medallion: a golden-yellow scalloped ring gives way to a rust-brown flower at the center, with a single sage-green leaf tucked at the edge and a cornflower-blue petal shape completing the bloom. The overall effect is warm and folk-art in spirit, more hand-painted textile than architectural pattern.
Mansour is a rotational quarter-design, and the corner orientation determines whether the design reads as one bloom or four. Set corners-in, the four quarter-suns meet at the center and complete into a single full medallion, with the yellow ring forming an unbroken circle. Set corners-out, the same shapes pull apart into four separate partial sunbursts anchored at the tile corners instead, with open ground between them.
Each tile is hand-pressed from pigmented cement by artisans in Fez, following a hydraulic process that has shaped North African floors for well over a century — the pigment set not by fire, but by time and pressure.
Sold by the square foot, with each 8" x 8" tile covering just under half a square foot — about two and a quarter tiles per square foot of coverage. The quantity you select at checkout is square footage, and we'll round the tile count up so your installer never comes up short. The warm, multicolor palette brings personality to a kitchen floor, a breakfast nook, or a sunroom that could use a dose of color underfoot.
Cement tile carries the fingerprints of its making — soft variation in tone and a slightly porous, hand-finished surface that no machine could replicate. We recommend sealing every tile before installation and again after grouting — a small ritual that protects the pigment for decades to come. For larger runs, order ten percent beyond your total square footage to allow for cuts and pattern matching.
$15.75 per square foot.
