Kilim with Crimson Field and Repeating Glyph Bands
Size: 64"W x 108"L
SKU#: R3055
A handwoven Zemmour kilim from Morocco's Middle Atlas, set on a crimson wool ground and densely worked across the entire field with brocaded bands of repeating glyphs — stylized hexagonal figures in alternating green, orange, yellow, and ivory — interleaved with bands of diamond and X-form geometry. The composition is unusually disciplined for a Berber kilim, with each glyph row reading as a line of woven script across the field. Framed on all four sides by a continuous cross-and-lozenge border. Tightly flatwoven, lightweight, and reversible, with a hand-tied multicolor fringe at the foot. Suited to a living room floor, sofa drape, or full wall installation where the band rhythm carries the composition.
