Sunflower 4x4 — Golden Yellow Zellige Tile

A bold, mustard-toned yellow with real warmth in the undertone. This is turmeric ground fresh, or the deep gold of a field at the very end of harvest — never a bright, primary yellow, always something with weight behind it. Sunflower is the most saturated yellow in our palette, and it's always been the boldest way to bring color into a space without reaching for pattern. Up close, each tile shifts from a deep golden mustard to a brighter, almost amber yellow, keeping a full Sunflower wall from ever reading as one flat block of color.

Sold as individual tiles rather than mounted sheets, Sunflower 4×4 is the classic zellige field format — suited to kitchen backsplashes, powder rooms, hammam-style showers, and fireplace surrounds where a bold, saturated color is the goal. Nine tiles make up one square foot. It pairs beautifully with unlacquered brass, walnut, and lime plaster.

As with all handmade zellige, no two tiles are ever quite alike — the natural variation in tone, texture, and edge shape from tile to tile is the hallmark of the craft, not a flaw. Because these are individual pieces rather than pre-set sheets, installation allows for custom layout and spacing to suit your design. We recommend ordering ten percent beyond your total square footage to allow for cuts and pattern matching, and sealing prior to grouting for wet installations.
