A half-round shade in aged brass, its curved face covered edge to edge in dense floral scrollwork with no plain bands interrupting the pattern, closer in spirit to the continuous piercing of its all-over companion in the half-round family. Behind the metalwork sits a panel of frosted glass, which softens and diffuses the light before it ever reaches the pierced brass, so the whole face glows evenly rather than showing hard points of light through individual openings.

That frosted glass backing is what sets this piece apart: instead of throwing sharp shadow-pattern onto the wall the way an open-backed pierced sconce does, the light comes through soft and diffused, with the brass scrollwork reading as a dark silhouette over an even glow rather than a a series of individual pinholes. Mounted flush with the same shallow depth as the rest of the half-round line, it offers a gentler, more ambient light than its open-backed siblings.
