Chambray 2x2 — Light Blue Zellige Mosaic Tile

A pale, powdery blue with grey undertones. This is washed denim, worn soft after years — no longer bold, but never faded to nothing either. Chambray sits at the softest end of our blue family, closer to old workwear than to open sky. Up close, each tile shifts a half-shade from dusty blue to near-grey, with a soft clouding within each one that's a mark of hand-glazing, not a flaw.

Mounted on mesh sheets for a straightforward, clean installation, Chambray 2×2 reads as a cleaner, more architectural grid than the 1×1 — suited to kitchen backsplashes, powder rooms, hammam-style showers, and fireplace surrounds where the wall itself should hold presence. It pairs beautifully with unlacquered brass, white oak, and lime plaster.

Each sheet covers one square foot. As with all handmade zellige, no two tiles are ever quite alike — the natural variation in tone and texture is the hallmark of the craft, not a flaw. We recommend ordering ten percent beyond your total square footage to allow for cuts and pattern matching, and sealing prior to grouting for wet installations.
