Domed Lantern Sconce with Stained Glass

Domed Lantern Sconce with Stained Glass

Size: 10"W x 22"H x 4"D

SKU#: WL251

A tall, many-faceted lantern built from alternating vertical panels of amber and milky white stained glass, each framed in dark metal banding that runs the full height of the piece. The whole shade is crowned with a domed, pierced brass cap shaped like a small minaret top, finished with a pointed finial at the very peak. Where the etched urns and pierced cones in the collection rely on metalwork for their texture, this piece leans on the glass itself, letting color and light carry most of the visual weight while the brass dome adds a single ornamental flourish above.

The vertical glass banding creates a warm, striped glow when lit, alternating bands of amber and white running the height of the shade, while the pierced dome throws its own smaller pattern of light just above. At twenty-two inches tall, it has real architectural presence, well suited to an entry, a stairwell, or anywhere a taller, more elaborate lantern form can be the focal point of the wall.
