Moroccan Brass Cylinder Sconce with All-Over Vine Piercing

A half cylinder of brass, cut from top to bottom in a dense pierced pattern, with a fine beaded edge running along the rim. The openwork is worked all the way around, so there is no plain surface anywhere on the piece, only metal and light in constant conversation. A frosted glass cap sits across the top and sends a soft glow upward, while the light inside spills out through the piercing and scatters small, shifting pattern across the wall.

The brass has a warm, aged finish with real depth to it, the kind that looks settled and lived in from day one. Switched off, it reads as a finely textured sculpture against the wall. Lit, it turns the whole surface around it into a field of shadow and gold.
