Bleu 4x4 — Classic Blue Zellige Tile

A true, deep blue with real weight to it. This is the blue of old ceramic vases passed down through generations, or a clear night sky just before it turns black — confident, saturated, unmistakably traditional. Bleu is richer than Cornflower and Chambray, without tipping into the near-black depth of Teal; it's the blue most people picture when they imagine a Moroccan tile. Up close, each tile shifts from indigo to a slightly softer cobalt, giving a full Bleu wall a real sense of depth rather than one flat tone.

Sold as individual tiles rather than mounted sheets, Bleu 4×4 is the classic zellige field format — suited to kitchen backsplashes, powder rooms, hammam-style showers, and fountain surrounds where a confident, saturated blue is the goal. Nine tiles make up one square foot. It pairs beautifully with unlacquered brass, white oak, and lime plaster.

As with all handmade zellige, no two tiles are ever quite alike — the natural variation in tone, texture, and edge shape from tile to tile is the hallmark of the craft, not a flaw. Because these are individual pieces rather than pre-set sheets, installation allows for custom layout and spacing to suit your design. We recommend ordering ten percent beyond your total square footage to allow for cuts and pattern matching, and sealing prior to grouting for wet installations.
