Beige 4x4 — Warm Neutral Zellige Tile

A warm, sandy beige with soft variations of tan and ochre throughout. This is the color of sun-baked adobe walls at midday, or raw wool before it's dyed — grounded, a little dusty, the kind of neutral that never feels sterile. Beige sits in the middle of our neutral family, a half-step warmer than Ecru and a half-step cooler than Creme, and it's one of the most versatile glazes in the range, at home in nearly any material palette. Up close, each tile drifts from pale sand to a deeper, olive-touched brown, giving a full Beige wall real dimension rather than a flat, single tone.

Sold as individual tiles rather than mounted sheets, Beige 4×4 is the classic zellige field format — suited to kitchen backsplashes, powder rooms, hammam-style showers, and fireplace surrounds where a warm, versatile neutral is the goal. Nine tiles make up one square foot. It pairs beautifully with unlacquered brass, white oak, and lime plaster.

As with all handmade zellige, no two tiles are ever quite alike — the natural variation in tone, texture, and edge shape from tile to tile is the hallmark of the craft, not a flaw. Because these are individual pieces rather than pre-set sheets, installation allows for custom layout and spacing to suit your design. We recommend ordering ten percent beyond your total square footage to allow for cuts and pattern matching, and sealing prior to grouting for wet installations.
