Turquoise 3x8 — Saturated Blue Zellige Tile

A true, saturated blue with real depth to the glaze. This is the color of a swimming pool tiled in the old style — glassy, high-shine, unmistakably blue rather than blue-green. Turquoise carries none of the softness of Chambray or Sky; it holds its color at full strength from across a room. Each tile is shaped and glazed by hand in Fez, in the ateliers Badia Design has worked with for nearly three decades.

Sold as individual tiles rather than mounted sheets, the 3x8 is our largest zellige format — well suited to herringbone, running bond, and stacked layouts where a bigger module reads as intentional rather than busy. Six tiles make up one square foot. It makes a strong statement on a pool surround, bar front, or accent wall where a smaller format would dilute the color.

As with all handmade zellige, no two tiles are ever quite alike — the natural variation in tone and texture is the hallmark of the craft, not a flaw. We recommend ordering ten percent beyond your total square footage to allow for cuts and pattern matching, and sealing prior to grouting for wet installations.
