A hand-carved antique Moroccan door crowned by a scalloped arch in the muqarnas tradition — the honeycomb silhouette is drawn directly from the carved ceilings of the Alhambra and the great Moroccan palaces. The field beneath is filled with an interlocking diamond lattice of cusped heart-shaped palmettes, mirrored across upper and lower panels and framed by finely carved zafar lattice borders running the full perimeter. The wood is finished in a deep walnut-ebonized tone that emphasizes the depth of the carving and the rhythm of the scalloped silhouette. Carved entirely by hand in the Andalusi-Marinid tradition. No two doors are alike.
