Honey 4x4 — Warm Amber Zellige Tile

A warm, ochre-gold with a matte, muted finish. This is raw honey before it's strained — thick, golden, a little cloudy rather than clear and bright. Honey sits between our paler Dijon and our deeper Caramel, warmer than one and less red than the other, landing in its own distinct place in the warm end of our palette. Up close, each tile shifts from a soft gold to a slightly deeper amber, giving a full Honey wall real warmth without tipping into orange.

Sold as individual tiles rather than mounted sheets, Honey 4×4 is the classic zellige field format — suited to kitchen backsplashes, powder rooms, hammam-style showers, and fireplace surrounds where a warm, ochre-gold tone is the goal. Nine tiles make up one square foot. It pairs beautifully with unlacquered brass, walnut, and lime plaster.

As with all handmade zellige, no two tiles are ever quite alike — the natural variation in tone, texture, and edge shape from tile to tile is the hallmark of the craft, not a flaw. Because these are individual pieces rather than pre-set sheets, installation allows for custom layout and spacing to suit your design. We recommend ordering ten percent beyond your total square footage to allow for cuts and pattern matching, and sealing prior to grouting for wet installations.
